ADP’s new ‘Community of Practice’ launch event success

Almost 100 delegates joined the exciting day’s programme at Newcastle University.

UCLan’s Head of Health Sciences Robin Richardson welcomed the audience and set the expectations for the conference.

Dr Hazel Roddam presented the vision for strengthening our collaborative working across practitioners, academics, service users and business partners, showing how we could facilitate even wider participation in our learning community through social media platforms and initiatives.

Thanks to everyone who contributed a veritable mountain of feedback ideas and proposals for future activities to develop our Community of Practice.

We had seven fabulous presentations of service quality improvement and practice-based research studies. Thanks for sharing your project work – and especially for all your insights and reflections on the experience of service evaluation and research processes.

Our invited keynote speaker – Dr Joanne Fillingham – gave us a motivating and inspirational closing address, to reinforce the benefits of working together as a truly active learning community.

Thanks to Jo for sharing her slides with us.

We really appreciate the support of our event sponsors and look forward to working with them again in the future.

J & R Press donated two books for our traditional end-of-day prize draw – definitely well worth waiting for!

Keep watching our website for news of future developments soon – we’re all looking forward to an exciting year ahead.
